Jews give Muslims key to their synagogue after town's mosque is razed to the ground

The Jews in a city in Texas demonstrated the true meaning of 'love your neighbour as you love  yourself' by handing the key to their synagogue to the Muslims in their community after the town's only mosque was destroyed in a fire.

The fire outbreak occurred on Saturday while the residents slept and was discovered by 2 a.m. By the time the fire service got there, it took them over four hours to put the fire under control. Being the only place of worship the Muslim population in the town has, Robert Loeb, the President of Temple Bnai Israel, handed the key to the Jew's temple over to Shahid Hashmi, one of the mosque's founders.
Speaking on the act of generosity, Shahid Hashmi, said: "Jewish community members walked into my home and gave me a key to the synagogue."
"I know several members of the mosque, and we felt for them. When a calamity like this happens, we have to stand together." Robert Loeb said.
The Victoria Islamic Centre is being reconstructed and a GoFundMe account has been created to raise money to sponsor the project.
